We will discuss facts about sharks’ lives and their false image created by Hollywood. In the gallery of human underwater fears, sharks take on of the first places, as they dance with human imagination, day and night. It will be a tale of these fish’s biodiversity, their origins, senses and record achievements, their look which depends on their address, the revolver jaws as well as dangers which wait for sharks in the contemporary world.

Małgorzata Żywicka – an oceanographer by profession. She specializes in marine biology and belongs to the European Marine Science Educators Association (EMSEA). In the Gdynia Aquarium’s Education Centre, she prepares workshops for children and teenager, information campaigns on wildlife protection as well as popular science events on biodiversity of the underwater world.
