In the film, we see the story of an extraordinary magus – a Sicilian soothsayer Achille, who was made famous by local TV stations in the past. When we look at the south of Italy, which still is full of magic, we cannot help thinking about Poland – a country which can compete with Italy when it comes to the number of revelations and supernatural phenomena. Why do we turn to magic or psychics to solve our problems as we desperately look for love and happiness? Achille, the soothsayer promises Sicilians irradiated bracelets. And what magic objects do we believe in on the coast of Baltic?

Aleksandra Mońko – deputy head for special education and the guidance counsellor at the non-public school Niepubliczna Szkoła Podstawowa Montessori Latawiec in Sopot. She teaches classes to psychology and pedagogy students at the WSB Universities in Gdańsk and Gdynia. She sees assets in people, instead of their shortcomings (she finished the basic solution focused brief therapy course, Kids’ Skills as well as Prevention Organisers’ School). She engages in different activities, connects ideas and people as well as varied methods and means of expression. The Educational Cha(lle)nge Association, which she has co-founded, is an outcome of this.
