Meeting after the screening of the film “Never Coming Back” with director Mikołaj Lizut

Gosia, Dominika, Ewelina and Alicja are all alumni of a youth educational center in the North-East of Poland. They were placed there by Court as troublemakers. They skipped school, abused substances, committed petty crimes but also sold drugs and stole goods. Unfortunately they themselves are also victims - of domestic violence, emotionally neglected kids from dysfunctional families.

We will talk with director about the protagonists and making the film after the screening.

Moderator:

Andrzej Marzec – philosopher, film critic, editor of "Czas Kultury" and vlogger ("Widma Marca"). He is the curator of the film series "Short Tensions" at the Pavilion and hosts "Philosophical Wednesdays" at the Muza Cinema. His research interests focus on ontology oriented towards objects, dark ecology, post-digital aesthetics and contemporary alternative cinema. Author of the book "Widmontologia. Teoria filozoficzna i praktyka artystyczna ponowoczesności"(2015).
