Director, cinematic researcher, head of the Institute for the Study of Art, and the Film Essay Laboratory at the Łódź Film School. He has worked as a film critic, a journalist, and a publisher (e.g. at Canal+, Ha!art, and Krytyka Polityczna). He is the author, among other works and papers, of Nie-całość. Žižek, Dolar, Zupančič (2015).
As a publisher, he edited Wunderkamera. Kino Terry’ego Gilliama, (2011) and Boro, l’ile d’amour: The Films of Walerian Borowczyk (2015, in collaboration with Kamila Kuc and Michał Oleszczyk). In 2018, he completed his cinematic debut: the feature-length documentary entitled Love Express. Przypadek Waleriana Borowczyka (Love Express: The Disappearance of Walerian Borowczyk), which took home the Chopin’s Nose Award for best documentary on music and art at the XV Millennium Docs Against Gravity Festival.
