"A Black Jesus" depicts the changes in the life of a small Sicilian town due to the migration crisis and the appearance of refugees on the island. Similar situations have been increasingly frequently taking place in Poland. Held after the screening, the workshop aims to broaden the knowledge and reflection about the circumstances of refugees and migrants arriving in Europe. We will discuss their experiences, motivations, and backgrounds, examining the ways to develop our interpersonal relationships and adequately meet their needs. Our workshop will aim to explain the character of contemporary migrations as well as their impact on societies and our personal sense of responsibility, empathy, or solidarity.
