The film „Glory to the Queen” tells the story of 4 legendary female chess players from Georgia who revolutionized the game at the peak of the cold war, and became true icons of Soviet women’s emancipation. Their achievements easily overshadow the ones we know from “The Queen’s Gambit”. However, they will not overshadow the chess simul held after the screening. Millenium Docs Against Gravity gives you the unique opportunity to play a game with Grandmaster Jolanta Zawadzka. Take your chance against this Wrocław-based champion, no matter if you are an amateur, a chess genius, or only sporadically play against your computer.

Jolanta Zawadzka – one of the most award-winning Polish chess players, grandmaster since 2005, organizer of competitions for female chess players, living in Wrocław. She owns 12 national championship medals, and has represented the country at numerous international championships.
