Following the screenings of Hello Grandma, Seal Story and Bless You, a Q&A session with the filmmakers: Kamila Chojnacka and Bartłomiej Błaszczyński, the directors, and Maciej Hamela, the producer
Three short films in a single screening: three intimate stories about characters who deal with isolation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in various ways. A personal film diary of the way director's family, including her grandmother who lived in a separate house, experienced the lockdown; a story of Jakub, who spends self-isolation by himself inside... the Museum of Ghosts, Elves and Northern Lights in Iceland; last but not least – a snapshot of the pandemic reality in Russia, where the state abruptly imposed a forced lockdown for senior citizens.
After the screening we will talk to the filmmakers: Kamila Chojnacka, the director of Hello Grandma, Bartłomiej Błaszczyński, who directed Seal Story, and Maciej Hamela, the producer of Bless You, who also conceived the idea for the film. We will ask them about the impact the pandemic has had on our everyday life, our feelings and relationships with our families, and about the day-to-day challenges of making movies during the pandemic.
