After the screening of Polish Self-Portrait, a Q&A session with its creators: directors Jakub Drobczyński and Maciej Białoruski, as well as editor Jakub Rados
Isolation, solitude, relationships falling apart, anxiety, need for any contact, conversation and exchange of opinions, time of waiting. People locked in their homes record intimate accounts of their everyday lives, hoping to be heard. Polish Self-Portrait is a document of a pandemic reality, recorded over a one-year period. It consists of personal recordings filmed by the protagonists, as well as documentary footage from Poland in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
After the screening, we will talk with the authors of the film, Jakub Drobczyński and Maciej Białoruski (directors), and Jakub Rados (editor), about how the documentary was made and about the pandemic reality.
