A Q&A session after the screening of JACINTA with director Jessica Earnshaw

Jacinta comes out of prison, while her mother, with whom she has a very close but toxic relationship, stays behind bars. Outside, Jacinta's adolescent daughter is waiting, which motivates her to break out of the vicious circle of law-breaking and heroin addiction. Jessica Earnshaw accompanies her protagonist in the process of re-adapting to freedom, and creates an intimate portrait of ex-con relationship with her loved ones, while uncovering new secrets from her past. The main narrative arc of the film is the mother-daughter relationship in which Jacinta is entangled.

Joanna Sowińska – systemic psychotherapist with many years of experience, she works with individual persons and with couples. The originator of the Institute of Professional Aid in Poznań, which trains young psychologists and supports them in improving practical therapeutic skills. The headmaster of the O! MEGA primary school and high school. Last year, together with Łukasz Raszewski, she conducted Filmotherapy at Kino Muza cinema, during which she discussed with the audience the dynamics of contemporary relationships.
