Meeting with Paweł Łoziński, THE BALCONY MOVIE director

The meeting will be run in Polish.

Can anyone be a film character? Can the world be closed in a single shot? Paweł Łoziński watches people from his balcony, teases them, asks questions, talks about how they deal with life. He has been standing behind the camera for almost 2 years, creating space for dialogue, building a sort of a secular confessional where everyone can stop by talks about themselves to other people. The characters carry secrets and mysteries they don't want to be pigeonholed. Every human's story is special and life is not something one can project. After the film we will talk with the director whether it is enough to stop for a moment to see more.

Host:

Andrzej Marzec - a philosopher, film critic, a journalist of 'Time for Culture' and a vloger ('Widma Marca'). He is the curator of 'Philosophical Wednesdays' at the Muse Cinema. His interests are: ontology oriented towards objects, dark environmentalism, post-digital aesthetics and the contemporary arthouse cinema. He is also the author of 'Widmontology. Philosophical theory and artistic practice of postmodernity' (2015).
