Coming out which is an exposure of one’s identity is a breakthrough moment for the protagonist of the film THINGS WE DARE NOT DO. It is also a turning point in the life of every transgender person as well as his or her friends and family. Unfortunately, in Poland 75 per cent of mothers and over 80 per cent of fathers cannot fully accept their transgender children. What is more, there’s the lack of social awareness and the attacks on the LGBTQIA community by the catholic church and the politicians. What price do you have to pay to be able to be yourself?
