Twenty-four hours with comic books. A meting with an expert from Pracownia Komiksowa (Comic Book Studio) Bogdan Ruksztełło-Kowalewski after the film COMIC BOOK SHOP, dir. Maciej Bierut.

In Polish

The story told in the film is a great introduction for a conversation about the history and condition of comic books in Poland and about the Tricity’s offer in this field. Some still see comic books as a medium “for children”. However, it has little to do with reality, as a large part of the comic book market are publications for adult readers. What are they about? What counts? A good story or a good stroke? We will start off in the comic book world under the watchful eye of an expert in the subject and a graphic artist Bogdan Ruksztełło-Kowalewski.

Guest:

Bogdan Ruksztełło-Kowalewski – comic book culture events organiser, graphic artist, script concept artist, publisher and the head of Pracownia Komiksowa of many years’ standing. Organiser of the Gdańsk Comic Book Meetings GDAK and the polish edition of a comic book marathon “24-Hour Comics Day”.

Host:

Małgorzata Muraszko – journalist and editor for “Gazeta Wyborcza”. She specializes in culture. Music, literature, film and visual arts are particularly close to her heart.
