Listening is a process which takes place constantly. Based on this assumption, Raymond Murray Schafer prepared a programme of exercises which help you listen – ear cleaning. A walk is its basic form. It allows you to start your sound “adventure” – reflection on the issue of sound, its quality and impact on us. As we listen, we synchronise with the audio surroundings and become one of the elements of the soundscape instead of a dominant subject. Taking walks in different places and at different times of the day, in varied weather conditions, allows you to discover diverse soundscapes. What can you hear in Gdynia? Find out for yourselves!
