What are the most pressing needs of stray dogs in Poland?

A discussion after the screening of STRAY, dir. Elizabeth Lo.

 Partner: Psia Warta

Event in Polish.

In Turkey, homeless animals are not placed in shelters. After sterilization or castration, they are tagged, given veterinary care, and then released into the wild. Although there are around 130,000 dogs wandering on the streets, no case of rabies has been reported in Istanbul since 2016. The story of pets living on Turkish streets, told in the Stray documentary film, serves as a pretext to talk about the situation of stray dogs in Poland.

At Kino Muza, we organize a dog food drive. The food will be handed over to the Przyborówko animal shelter, right after the end of the event – a place where every December we bring gifts from our viewers and spectators, collected in the cinema.
On behalf of pets, we would like to ask you for good quality food (with a high percentage of meat content), in keeping with the principle of quality over quantity. Food for our four-legged friends can be left in the main hall of Kino Muza cinema throughout the festival.
