18th Birthday Party of Millennium Docs, Kulturalna, and Greta
We all certainly remember what we were doing in 2006, when "Dreaming by Numbers" won the main award at a festival called Warsaw Doc Review. We all know very well where we’d been when the Grand Prix Millennium Bank Award went ex aequo to Hania Polak and Nicolas Steiner: most of us were probably glued to our TVs, struggling to believe that the festival named two simultaneous main winners. We also remember meeting Herzog, Jane Goodall, or M.I.A., who rocked us at the Kulturalna cafe—our beloved Kulturalna, where Sofa Surfers, Efterklang, Antoha MC, Songhoy Blues, and Wood Brothers played on the music stage of our festival, where last year Pani Jola sang a cappella.
It’s a happy coincidence that both Millennium Docs Against Gravity and Kulturalna are celebrating their 18th birthday in 2021.
We will also drink to Greta Thunberg, who turned 18 this year as well.
Celebrate our 18th with us! Let’s have a drink, share some memories, and get dancing!

Our musicians:
DJ CZUBAK - known from bands like New People or The Car is on Fire. Three years ago he started inundating Warsaw’s dancefloors with his pop finds: from disco classics to contemporary mainstream, including phat house.
DJ HIROSZYMA - active in the club scene since 2002. He’s been spinning records at hundreds of parties, joining musical fire and water ;) from The Prodigy to Frank Sinatra. Every week he hosts Elektrownia on the airwaves of Radiospacja. Former member of Das Moon; his solo album, Inside Isolation, produced by Requiem Records, will premiere in September 2021.
