The director of "Flee" proved that an intimate tale about growing up and seeking one’s identity can captivate the attention of crowds. Deemed the hit of Sundance and likened to the legendary "Waltz with Bashir", this documentary follows a teenage boy fleeing Afghanistan with his mother and siblings. Rasmussen conceived this film as an animation because the protagonist, his former classmate, wasn’t ready to face the camera… but why?
