A trained classical singer himself, Spanish-German writer and director Enrique Sánchez Lansch deals often with music in his documentaries. His theatrical documentary RHYTHM IS IT! on a dance project with 250 Berlin teenagers sold 650,000 tickets at the German box office. Other award-winning theatrical documentaries include THE REICHSORCHESTER on the Berlin Philharmonic in Nazi Germany and PIANO ENCOUNTERS about piano playing from childhood into adolescence. Enrique Sánchez Lansch is a member of the German and the European Film Academies.
