We will discuss bipolar disorder in the context of The Hero’s Journey to the Third Pole—a Bipolar Musical Documentary with Elephants. The film follows Anna and Hogni, two people who experience affective disorders, as they debate the issue from various angles: as a heavy burden as well as something that gives them superpowers. Their thoughts and experiences lead them to work to increase awareness of mental disorders and destigmatization in order to let every person battling mental disorders access professional help, just like in the Można Zwariować Foundation! Together with our guests we’ll try to make bipolar easier to understand and show it from various perspectives—from mental health specialists to crisis survivors.
