Divinations

After years of detention, a “magician” – a fortune-teller made famous by Sicilian local TV stations, tries to come back to his previous life after serving several years in prison. However, the will to reintegrate into society clashes with people’s mistrust and especially with a civil society completely transformed by time. On one hand, such a situation puts him at constant risk of being rejected and marginalized; on the other, it allows him to get in touch with a part of himself he has never explored before. If the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself, a path made of both physical and mental abandon is going to bring him from the margins of the city to the innermost nature of Sicily, to the core of Etna.
